Greetings everyone! Last night we arrived in Vancouver about midnight east coast time. There was a little bit of drama getting here as we started the day off with a two-hour flight delay out of Norfolk. As a result, we had to sprint from one end of the Dallas airport to the other end. We arrived at our gate as the last few people were boarding. To make it just a little more adventurous, the airline decided to play musical chairs with Amy's seat. We decided to splurge on this trip and cashed in some frequent flyer miles to get first class seats. After we already checked in for the flight, Amy's seat on the second flight went from first class to no seat assigned to a center seat in the back of the plane. Fortunately, as we were sprinting to the gate to catch the flight, the gate agent there noticed the error and put her back in her original seat. I guess all's well that ends well.
Below are a few from our day in Vancouver as well as the view from our hotel.

There's a plane in the water, there's a gas station in the water, everything is in the water here.
A view of an interesting looking building on Water Street.
This is the steam clock. It is powered by an underground steam system. If you look closely, you can see some steam coming out of the top of the clock.
We had a six-course meal for dinner. This is the Spot Prawns "Lasagna" from the fourth course. There are a couple of shrimp between the purple discs under the foam. The "noodles" on the side are grilled summer squash. Yum!!
We have a corner room. This is the view of the sun coming up over the mountains and harbor from our other window
